Airbus A320neo

The youngest member of the Austrian Airlines short- and medium haul fleet is not only quieter, more fuel-efficient and more economical, but the innovative cabin concept also increases travel comfort for our passengers. The A320neo is used on continental routes, predominantly on flights to London and Berlin.

Characteristics

With the introduction of this modern and efficient short- and medium-haul aircraft, we are reinforcing our commitment to more resource-saving aviation. Thanks to innovative technology in the Pratt & Whitney jet engines and improved aerodynamics, the Airbus A320neo consumes up to 20% less fuel than comparable aircraft of previous generations. What’s more, the noise footprint of the Neo during take-off is around 50% less than comparable aircraft types.

Your benefits as a passenger

An innovative Airspace Cabin and slimmer side walls provide you with even more personal space, especially around the shoulders. Compared to the previous design, the new cabin concept also has up to 60% greater capacity for carry-on baggage. A further highlight for well-being on board is a new, flexible lighting system, which is oriented towards the biorhythm of passengers depending on the phase of flight or the time of day, bathing the cabin and bathrooms in warm red or cool blue tones.
