Austrian Flight Value Vouchers
Was your flight cancelled or would you like to travel at a later time? If your ticket has a booking date up to 15 May 2020 and a place of departure within the EU1, Switzerland, the UK or the USA, you can convert it into a Flight Value Voucher – for the same value as your original ticket.

This is how to get your Flight Value voucher
Request
Enter the booking code or the ticket number of the original flight for each passenger on the application form.
Create
Open the confirmation link you receive by email and log into your Austrian or Miles & More user profile on the Flight Value Voucher portal.
Download
Download your Flight Value Voucher as a PDF. You can also view the voucher at any time via the portal.
Redeem
Book your new trip on austrian.com. The Flight Value Voucher must be entered in the ‘Voucher’ field under date selection before submitting the flight search.
Please note
- You can convert any Austrian tickets that were issued up to and including 15 May 2020 and have a travel date up to and including 30 April 2021. In addition, the departure location on the ticket must be in the EU1, Switzerland, the UK or the USA.
- Tickets can only be converted into Flight Value Vouchers by the airline that issued them. If you have a ticket from an airline other than Austrian, you will have to convert it through the respective website.
- Bookings with a Flight Value Voucher must be redeemed online.
- You need an austrian.com profile. If you do not yet have a user account, please set up an Austrian user profile.
Frequently asked questions about Flight Value Vouchers
The ticket value can currently only be converted into a Flight Value Voucher if the departure airport is in the EU, Switzerland, UK or USA, and the ticket was booked up to and including 15 May 2020.
If you purchased a seat reservation and/or an additional bag at the time of booking, this cannot be converted into a Flight Value Voucher. If this is the case, please contact our Service Centre.
Once you have submitted the completed application form, we will review your application and contact you by email. This should usually only take a few minutes.
Once you have converted your ticket into a Flight Value Voucher, you can enter it directly when booking a flight on austrian.com during the flight search.
You can redeem your Flight Value voucher by 31 December 2021 for travel until 26 December 2022. You can use it for one or more new bookings. This allows you to decide when you wish to fly and use your Flight Value Voucher.
The Flight Value Voucher offers you maximum flexibility. You can redeem your Flight Value Voucher by 31 December 2021 for travel until 26 December 2022. The Austrian Flight Value Voucher can only be used for bookings on austrian.com, with the exception of multi-stop flights. The valid fare conditions for the new flights selected will apply.
You must ensure when booking with the Flight Value Voucher that the departure location for the new booking is in the same country as the departure location on the original ticket.
As part of the online booking, you can use your Flight Value Voucher to pay for several tickets in one booking or use it several times until the value of the Flight Value Voucher is used up. The only condition is that the voucher holder must travel with you.
The Flight Value Voucher can only be redeemed with the airline that issued it. The Flight Value Voucher does not apply to bookings made via Austrian myHoliday.
You automatically cancel any previous applications for a refund by applying for a Flight Value Voucher.
