Frequently Asked Questions about the Gift Card

Gift Cards can only be purchased  on the Austrian website ​www.austrian.com.

Payment can be made using a MasterCard, Visa and American Express credit card with 3D Secure.

The Gift Card is issued exclusively in euros and can be redeemed for tickets originating in a Eurozone country where the ticket price is displayed in euros.

No, conversion into another currency is not possible.

Any amount between EUR 10 and EUR 1,000 can be selected.

The Gift Card is valid for 10 years from the date of issue.

After purchasing the Gift Card, you will receive a confirmation email at the email address you provided. This email contains the Gift Card code, a printable version of the Gift Card including the code and a payment confirmation with your personal details.

The purchase of a completely unused Gift Card can be cancelled within 14 days of receiving the confirmation email without giving any reason. The cancellation may be submitted via the following link.

The Gift Card can only be redeemed on the Austrian website ​www.austrian.com.

The Gift Card can be redeemed for flight tickets with an Austrian flight number (“OS”) and for additional services such as seat reservations and additional baggage.

Additional services must be purchased as part of the same booking process as the flight. 

All flights included in the ticket must have an Austrian flight number (“OS”).

The flight numbers are displayed in the shopping cart. 

The relevant price must be displayed in euros.

If additional services such as seat reservations or additional baggage are offered, the Gift Card can also be redeemed for these services during the booking process. The Gift Card cannot be redeemed for an additional service on its own, either without a flight booking or in connection with an existing booking.

Simply select “Voucher” as the payment method during the booking process and enter your Gift Card code.

No, the Gift Card cannot be applied retrospectively, and it can only be redeemed for new bookings.

A maximum of three Gift Card codes  can be used per booking.

No, a Gift Card cannot be redeemed in combination with a Miles & More mileage payment.

No, the Gift Card can only be redeemed if the currency is not changed during the booking process. The ticket price must be displayed in euros from the beginning of the booking process.

Any person who knows the Gift Card code can redeem it.

The Gift Card and/or the Gift Card code should therefore be kept safe and protected from unauthorised access.

Yes, the difference can be paid using a MasterCard, Visa or American Express credit card with 3D Secure.

Any remaining balance will be retained on the Gift Card and can be used for future bookings within the validity period.

The portion of the ticket paid for with a Gift Card will automatically be refunded to the Gift Card and can be used again within the validity period.

The Gift Card code should therefore be kept until the full value of the Gift Card has been redeemed.
