Frequently Asked Questions about Gift Vouchers

Gift Vouchers are only available on the Austrian website www.austrian.com.

Payment can be made using MasterCard, VISA and American Express, provided that the card is equipped with 3D Secure.

The Gift Voucher is issued in euros and can be redeemed for tickets on flights originating in a Eurozone country, where the ticket price is listed in the local currency, euros.

You can choose any amount between EUR 10 and 1000.

The Gift Voucher is valid for 10 years from the date of issue.

Once you have purchased the Gift Voucher you will receive a confirmation email to the email address you have provided. This email will contain the voucher code, a printable version of the voucher with the code and a payment confirmation with your personal details.

You can cancel the purchase of an unused Gift Voucher within 14 days of receiving the confirmation email without giving any reason. Send your cancellation to voucher@austrian.com, stating the Gift Voucher code.

The Gift Voucher can only be redeemed on the Austrian website www.austrian.com.

You can redeem the Gift Voucher for tickets with an OS flight number and additional services such as seat reservations, additional baggage, etc. The price must be listed in the local currency, euros, and the journey must start in a country within the Eurozone.

If additional services are offered as part of the booking, such as seat reservations or additional baggage, the Gift Voucher can also be redeemed for these additional services. The price of the ticket and additional services must be shown in euros.

You may not redeem a Gift Voucher for an additional service on its own.

Simply select “Voucher” as the payment method during the booking process and enter your voucher code.

No, you cannot use a Gift Voucher retrospectively and it can only be used for new bookings.

You can use a maximum of three voucher codes per booking.

Any remaining amount will be retained on the Gift Voucher and can be used for future bookings within the validity period.

The portion of the ticket that was paid for with a Gift Voucher will automatically be refunded to the Gift Voucher and can be used again within the validity period of the Gift Voucher.

You should therefore keep the voucher code until you have used the full value of the Gift Voucher.
