Our AIRail offer lets you travel to anywhere in the world from the central station in Linz, Salzburg, Graz or Innsbruck. Combine train and plane with just one click, and thanks to our guaranteed connections you don’t have to worry about any unexpected delays.
Important information on AIRail connections
Due to severe storm damage, adjustments to the ÖBB timetable are affecting AIRail connections to and from Linz, Salzburg and Graz. As a result, AIRail customers will now need to change trains at Vienna Central Station (XWC). Shuttle trains run every 30 minutes between Vienna Central Station and Vienna Airport. As a result of longer travel times, customers will have to allow more time for their journey.
To ensure you reach your flight on time despite changes to the AIRail timetable, the train reservation requirement for existing bookings has been temporarily lifted. Please check the ÖBB SCOTTY app before your journey to confirm you will arrive at Vienna Airport in time for your connecting flight.
From the start of week 42, Austrian Airlines will adjust AIRail connections to align with the new ÖBB special timetable, which will be in effect until 14 December 2024. Further updates will be provided in due course.
All affected passengers will be notified via email about revised travel times and potential rebookings. Travel times for new bookings will also be longer due to the necessary change at Vienna Central Station (XWC), and this will be reflected at the time of booking. After the special timetable comes into effect, the train reservation requirement will apply again for all bookings.
